The same ceremony, but in the facilitator’s own home and in a small group. You come in barefoot and leave knowing everyone.

Guided breathwork first, ice water after, with the sun going down. Uncomfortable for three minutes and hard to forget for the rest of the trip.

A reading of the tonal — the sign you are born under in the Mexica calendar — followed by the temazcal. What is said inside stays inside.

The pre-Hispanic sweat lodge led by a temazcalero, with rapé and song. This is not a spa: it is a ceremony, and it lasts as long as it lasts.
